Changing Times: Developments in Accounting & Auditing and Taxation
In this two-hour update, Michelle Spriggs, Managing Director in the Not-For-Profit & Education Practice, and Lisa Wills, Director in the Not-For-Profit & Education Practice, will give an update regarding accounting and auditing standards that most commonly impact not-for-profit and educational organizations.
In addition, as not-for-profit organizations look to attract and retain great talent, individuals may be hired to work beyond the organization’s home state. Depending on the activities of the employee, this may trigger sales/use, income, payroll and other tax complexities and possibly additional state tax filings. Craig Klein, Managing Director in the Not-For-Profit & Education Practice, and Tarra Curran, Managing Director and leader of the New England State and Local Tax Practice, will lead a discussion on state and local rules that come into play in these situations.
