Boston, MA (September 9, 2019) — CBIZ, part of the nation’s 10th largest accounting and tax provider, has expanded its Tax Practice with the addition of Heather Brown, MST, MPFP, EA; Carrie Gizienski, CPA; and Mary Anne Henry, MBA. All three have joined CBIZ as Directors and work out of both the Boston, MA and Providence, RI offices.

Heather has more than 15 years of experience providing services to the private equity industry, with a focus in U.S. Federal tax withholding and operational excellence. She has extensive experience working with Internal Revenue Code Chapter 3 compliance, U.S. Withholding Certifications, Chapter 4 Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), the Common Reporting Standard (CRS), and assisting clients in analyzing their investor base and determining filing requirements. Prior to joining the company, Heather worked at one of the largest global private equity investment managers. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and Master of Science in Taxation and Master of Personal Financial Planning degrees from Bentley University.
Carrie has more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles providing tax services to public and private entities, including multinational companies. Prior to joining the company, she was a Director in the tax department of a U.S.-based multinational retail corporation for 13 years, overseeing compliance, tax audits, and restructurings, in addition to leading the global planning and reporting of transaction taxes. Carrie also previously spent seven years in the tax department at a ‘Big 4’ firm. She has extensive experience with federal, state and international tax planning and compliance, including income tax accounting and corporate tax planning projects. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Villanova University.
Mary Anne has more than 20 years of experience in tax planning, consulting and overall tax strategy for companies both in the U.S. and internationally. Prior to joining the company, she was a tax executive at a large multinational company in more than 60 countries. Mary Anne has extensive experience with tax efficiency and optimization strategies, the U.S. tax reform law, cross-border transactions, and international restructuring. She also has experience in tax compliance, M&A due diligence, transfer pricing, Dutch holding company structures and value-added taxes. Mary Anne received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Lehigh University and a Master of Business Administration degree at Columbia Business School.
